Her father is an Indian Businessman and her mother is a housewife. She has a younger brother. His name is Samit Mehta. He is the president of R&D at Emcure Pharmaceuticals.

Namita Thapar completed her schooling in Pune. She got admission to Savitribai Phule University for B.com. Meanwhile, she completed CA from ICAI. She was brilliant in her studies. Namit Thapar’s Career
Namita Thapar just after completing her MBA degree from Fuqua School of Business joined a Medical Device Company called Guidant Corporation in the USA. She worked in a financial planning team and played a very strategic role in the company. While working in the USA, she met her future husband Vikas Thapar. He joined the Guidant Corporation in 2006. Later they married. She worked with Guidant Corporation for 6 years.
Vikas Thapar also comes from a business family in Pune. Both later got married and they have two kids. Their names are Jai Thapar and Vir Thapar. She lovesBollywood movies. She named her two children Jai and Vir inspired by Hindi Movie Sholay.
Namita Came back to India in 2007 and joined his father's company, Emcure Pharmaceutical. She handled multi portfolios there like, Finance, marketing, and HR.

Currently, she is managing pan-India operations of over 3,000 medical representatives. In addition, she is one of the board members of Finolex Cables and the Fuqua School of Business. She is also the founder and CEO of Incredible Ventures Ltd. Incredible Ventures is an education company that teaches entrepreneurship to 11 – 18-year-olds. It has many branches and is available in Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Chennai, and Hyderabad. She is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization, Pune.

Namita Thapar is one of the prime Investors of Shark Tank India. Her aim is to encourage young children, specialty women, and girls to break the patriarchal society tradition and empower them to become successful entrepreneurs.
